FOX ELIPSUS @ CAFE RENE
On Tuesday 27th September Fox Elipsus will be coming to Gloucester after travelling from New York, to put on a free concert for all his fans.
Fox Elipsus is a touring solo musician originally from Oxford. He has performed at dozens of indie coffee shops and various venues in the past few years, as part of his annual North America Tour. The show is mellow, popular, and lots of fun. Most places that Fox performs in, are packed with his fans (usually from Facebook) from the beginning of the show until the end. Any place Fox has performed at tends to eagerly re-book him anytime he is in town, and is an event that will create a positive buzz in the local community :)
The event starts at 7pm and is open to all however, minors will have to be accompanied by a guardian or parent and off the premises by 21:30.

This year Cafe Rene will once again be doing the ‘Nott the Nottinghill Carnival!!’
For those who came last year you will remember the food, music and vibes provided on this wonderful event.

...2pm – 4pm – Dr Tim will be kicking off the Carnival with a fine collection of dub and Reggae.
4pm – 6pm – Mr Benn shall be providing us with a set of ‘funky soul, breaks and an exclusive set of his own edits.
6pm – 7pm - Dirty Lyle will lay out a summer banquet of funk, soul, hip hop & reggae. Also the start of ‘Ropert’s drum work shop’!
7pm – 10pm Andy G & Ade Simpson known as the collectives ‘Funked up ‘N’ Feelin Good’ & ‘The Vinyl Hustlers’ will be playing Funk & Soul with live percussion from Ropert & Andy G himself.
10pm – 11pm Jormas also known as Spicy night will finish the outside activities with funky house and grooves.
11pm – 1am Dirty Lyle will carry on inside with a UK dance and Garage set!

There will also be the famous Rene BBQ including, Jerk Chicken, Red Snapper, corn on the cob and more! Also Mr Soden will once again make his ‘Special Rum Punch’ – not for the faint hearted!
The day will start at 2pm and is open to all ages. There will be other activities for the young ones including face painting. And Ropert will be doing a special drum work shop for to get involved with.
At the end of the outside activities at 11pm the Carnival will move down into the exclusive underground cellar bar - situated underneath the Cafe Rene - for a night of eclectic dance music too finish the event off nicely.

RENEGADE FREE MUSIC FESTIVAL!!!
On Saturday 28th May 2011 the Cafe Rene crew came together to bring you the free all day live music event that is 'Renegade Festival'!
Music started at 2pm and finished at 11pm on our outdoor stage along with an outdoor bar and BBQ, and we were collecting pennies for the 'British Red Cross Tsunami Appeal'. CD's which have a track from each band that played are on sale now at the bar at the nice price of £3.
The day was a massive success and brought alot of people together to enjoy the creme de la creme of local talent. The Cafe Rene crew thanks all who were involved and all who turned up to make this day possible!

RENEGADE TO THE GRAVE HALLOWEEN 2010
Halloween 2010 saw a momentus events come to Gloucester as hundreds of Zombies took to the streets in a sponsored walk around town. Ending up at the Cafe Rene where some Zombies recreated the infamous thriller video in the greyfirars graveyard!
