Rich compelling melodies and tight driving rhythm, Flatworld play an eclectic mix of music from Eastern Europe and beyond.
We take tunes from eastern European folk traditions (and a few from elsewhere) and present them in a lively and accessible form.

On one hand we have a multi-instrumentalist with a wealth of experience in genres, ranging from classical to indie music. On the other we have a singer/songwriter with a passion for music and knowledge from his aforementioned ventures. The outcome of which many would deem un-missable.

That’s the ethos that The Rin Tins have kept since their inception in early 2011 and since then the quintet have dedicated themselves to bringing folk fueled jazz jive boogie to the Bristol scene.
They’ve been called the ‘definable Bristolian party band’ by South West music legend Cozzie O’Cozfunkel and described as ‘splendid gypsy rockabilly’ by The Zen Hussies own Jules Landau.

Born in Italy and raised in London Franc grew up listening to his mums music, Springsteen, The Police, Pink Floyd & Bob Marley. He started playing music at the age of 10 and has grown into a successful musician touring the UK, Italy, US and Texas. Melodic, Warm, Insightful songs, with finger plucking guitar styles that pull on the strings of the heart.

A blend of modern and traditional music, along with jigs and reels; Folk music has been taken in, anarchized and re-processed with a real hard political edge. Jay Terrestrial and the Firepit Collective have a large and enthusiastic fanbase who never fail to liven up the venues where they play.

Wed 26th NOVEMBER – MATT WOOSEY

Matt’s songwriting focuses strongly on combining the meaning and message of the lyrics with the composition and atmosphere of the music. He wants people to absorb the words, the music and enjoy his song writing. His catalogue covers a wide spectrum delivering a powerful blend of tracks spanning 7 albums such as beautifully melodic songs like Noah*, moving to the folk styled Elsie May* and through to the raunchy rock of Black Smoke Rising*. His on-stage presence has to be seen, with such a strong singing voice that he barely needs any amplification making every gig a unique and entertaining experience.
