Wed 6th – GAZ BROOKFIELD
The Bristolian ‘Journey Man’ Gaz Brookfield is an über busy solo acoustic musician who constantly tours the UK playing to packed out audiences in each town or city he graces. His songs are instantly accessible every-man tales of life, love and everything else in between.
Fri 8th MARY SPENDER
Mary Spender is returning to Cafe Rene and this time she comes with a full band! Playing beautiful songs of Blues, Folk and Easy Listening. Fantastic Guitar work and harmonizing vocals. Her album Faux Americana is fantastic and has been getting some amazing reviews, also Described as one to watch by Seasick Steve...

Phil King is a singer songwriter of Folk with an incredible appeal to his audiences no matter who or where they are. Raw, soulful vocals, and brilliant, guitar work. We are looking forward to the show!

MyDesign' are a hugely hard working rock and pop cover band who offer something a little different! Playing covers from a wide range of artists the crowd are always guaranteed a good time, with plenty of songs to recognise, from the 1980's to bang up to date. A night of pleasing rocked up re-works of classic songs you all wanted to forget!
Wed 20TH WILL EDMUNDS TRIO
The Will Edmunds Trio is a blues rock outfit from Bristol, playing songs that have a strong sometimes harsh edge, that is soothed by the vocals of Will. Playing original songs as well as interpretations of some of their favourite Blues tracks. A fresh band with a fresh sound.
Fri 22ND SEAS OF MIRTH
The Seas Of Mirth, a nautical 9 piece of rugged, misplaced corsairs with a vigorous galleon of sound. Playing a plethora of styles from folk, rock, prog, gypsy, pop, psyche to even a tinge of afro-beat. Lyrically, songs range from dealing with tempestuous sea conditions, gargantuan mythical beasts, mutiny, tales of severe intoxication and the old heart crushing love sojourn.

Mischa is coming to Rene to do a stripped down acoustic set. Usually on stage with the ‘merry men’ Mischa is a musician who has a high energy stage presence playing Folk songs. His mission is to bring back community, generate unity & encourage good ethics through his words, music, passion & love.
Fri 29th SOLANA
Solana are an instrumental gypsy-folk band. Hailing from all corners of Europe, their style reflects the diversity of their backgrounds and interests: their sound encompasses folk, swing, klezmer, flamenco, latin, reggae and trip-hop. Their live shows combine intricate arrangements with energetic performances and healthy doses of improvisation.

A total refusal to be bound by the prison of "9 to 5 slave to the bank till you die grind" has allowed SDT to channel its creativity through many mediums. Music drives the ship, but you’ll find visual art, poetry, film and performance at its oars. Tough hip-hop beats, dirty fuzz bass, and a front man simultaneously pushing ferocious saxophone and punk rap poetry.

James is a multi-instrumentalist with a wealth of experience in genres, ranging from classical to indie music, and a singer/songwriter with a passion for music and knowledge from his aforementioned ventures

Kookamunga are a 9-piece Cardiff based powerhouse who deliver an unquestionably addictive and unique rhythmic sound that has embodied a style that lies somewhere between an early 60's rock sound reminiscent of Janis Joplin's Big Brother & The Holding Company, to the pivotal funk sound of Sly & The Family Stone.

Known for their flawless and energy-filled live performances, the genre-defying quartet Polly and the Billets Doux boast a genius blend of Folk, Pop, Rock N' Roll, Soul, Country, Blues and even Gospel. They have a solid reputation and extensive history of headline tours up and down the country; from Ullapool to Brighton, and almost everywhere in between.
Fri 19TH TAFFY WAS A THIEF
TaffyWasAThief are a quirky and inventive musical collective who deliver performances which expose their entertaining (if tasteless and disgusting) compositions of rootsy acoustica with hypnotic percussion, growling sax and sawtooth harp.

Ramon Goose is an English blues guitarist, singer and producer and contemporary country blues artist, who is known for his work with The West African Blues Project and the hip hop blues band NuBlues, his mastery of the slide guitar, and for producing other American blues artists' albums. As a solo artist he has toured across Europe and released several albums.
